Level 2 Award in Barista Skills
Coffee today is more than just a beverage — it is an experience shaped by skill, precision, and presentation. At the heart of this experience is the barista, a professional who combines technical expertise with excellent customer service to create high-quality drinks in a fast-paced environment.
This programme is designed for individuals who aspire to build a career as a professional barista. It provides the essential knowledge and hands-on skills required to prepare and serve coffee to a high commercial standard.
Throughout the course, learners are introduced to key techniques such as grinding, brewing, and serving a variety of beverages within a professional setting. You will learn how to work confidently with different ingredients and operate coffee equipment efficiently, ensuring consistency and quality in every cup.
In addition to technical skills, the programme places strong emphasis on customer service. Learners develop important workplace abilities, including communication, teamwork, and adaptability — all of which are crucial for success in a cafe or hospitality environment.
